Yeah, me and Krigekongen talked about this a little and it would be awesome if the server had a Tekkit server aswell!
Tekkit is a server that has mods like Industrialcraft, Buildcraft, Redpower and Equivalent Exchange installed on it, and I can tell you this :

    It's awesome!

If you do not know what it is, and what awesome stuff you can do with it Either Google it, or look it up on Youtube and you will be amazed what stuff you can do!

Please give your vote in the poll below, and maybe we will be playing some Pawntekkitcraft soon?

    With kind regards,
Tootitbootit (and I may also speak for Krige, I believe)

You might be able to check out these tutorial series, made by 'Yogscastlalna'. They are pretty good, but he gives some wrong information about some stuff.

I don't know whether this would be possible since plugins are probably installed client side, but would it be possible just to have it as another world on the main server like creative and the sky dimension?
Ps awesome idea, Tekkit looks amazing :)

Creates more problems server side than it could possibly be worth.

Edit - Though I will grant that (from that series) it does look like an immensely enjoyable mod.

I have downloaded this mod myself after watching Duncan (YogscastLalna) play it, and it is extremely fun. While a little boring at first, it eventually gets better and better as you make more machines etc.

You need to go to download a seperate client in which you either select 'Technicpack' for singleplayer, or 'tekkit' for multiplayer. So they will be installed automaticallly in a seperate client.

Supsies, it's so much fun. And I have no idea how hard it is to install a Tekkit server? If needed I can help moderate the server, since I will be playing that if its there and no idea if other admins will.

I don't think it's such a good idea to split up the Minecraft server and waste resources. Not to mention the server wouldn't get much attention, not many people are intelligible enough or even want to install these mods.

Pawned, you don't need to install the mods. You download a launcher from here http://www.technicpack.net/technic6/ and select 'Tekkit' in the top left corner.
Then it will be installed automatically and you can play via that Launcher (only).
And what do you mean with 'wouldn't get much attention?' Me an krige would play it, and we will love y'all till death do us apart! :D

I think it would be a great addition. It's something that will appeal to new members as there really isn't any good Tekkit servers available. It would also be great for our current memberbase to experience a new type of minecraft that will contribute into a varied server and hopefully bring more people, and revive old player's spirit. We have a beast server, and a beast internet, nuff said.

Put simply, there are already plans for a secondary server running off of our machine. We don't need a third one, that's going to be used by 2 - 5 people.

But the thing is, I doubt it will take up a lot of resources. And from what I can see at the poll there is atleast 8 people interested. Atleast you could try it out for a small period and see if the interest counters the usage. If it doesn't just shut it down again.

I think that would be too much work to put into a test server, though..
But I mean, if its not that big of a deal to setup and let it work properly, we might aswell test it out?

It sounds like maybe if you really wanna use these you should use them on your single player or make your own server for the people that do. The Admins and and server owners have plans, but i was nice of you to pitch your Idea

Reiko, first things first : Singleplayer and multiplayer arent the same.

It's very simple : There's no good tekkit server out there, and Pawncraft has the abilities to become the best tekkit server. But it's not up to me to decide that.

It's not as easy as that, plus everyone loves Pawncraft and doesn't necessarily want to play anywhere else.
