    How about.... why the spawn is in the middle of the water... perhaps it's the only safe place that we could 'build' that would keep the creeper invasion from spreading and infecting the rest of us.

    group of people left the mainland and found a small island then built a lighthouse and a city, would fit with the boats that are around the spawn. Now the brave few venture out into the ocean in the hopes of finding land/cities or making their wealth mining in foreign lands.

    We need orcs, wood elves, night elves and high elves. Oh and dark elves. Those are important. Very creative and original.

    What about those who go Lone Wolf? Like me. What "race" am I? Also, for Venificus, we could use iKickHobbits's idea and say that the Mages raised Venificus into the air to avoid infection.

    I don't understand this question. You can be whatever race you want. I fail to see how you going around solo would make you have to be a certain race.

    Pawned: I was suggesting that maybe there could be a race for Lone travellers, maybe an ancient race that got torn apart decades ago and now travel the world alone (or in small groups), something like that. It'd be kinda cool, but thats just my moronic mind. :p

    And the stronghold is what was left after (insert name such as chaos day) representing the day disease struck and veni was raised for protection.

    And why do Mages allow anyone to join? Because they are very content on saving the people, getting them away from the sickness and/or disease. Just a thought, I won't say the mages are anything as I not the leader.

    There is some lore in the works that talk about a particular period in time (it's all I'm going to give you that this period exists.) It's the time in which the world of pawncraft was covered in extended darkness. This time period, one filled with fear about the absence of the reassuring sun, is filled with attacks from the restless undead. I would think it could be motivation for movement off of the petrifying dry land and towards safer locations, i.e. the air or under water.

    My entire reason for why Aquashi was built the way it was actually revolved around the construction of the lighthouse leading to the discovery of a rich mine. This pulled in all sorts of people looking for work and a chance to make their fortunes. The initial village was constructed on nearby land, but constant invasion from monsters encouraged a rather unique solution which was made possible by the huge influx of revenue from the mine: an underwater city safe from the dangers found on land. The city is built with lush materials: lapis, gold, iron, and netherrack blocks; exotic dyes for carpet and wall hangings; and even glowstone for illumination instead of torches. The old village was abandoned in favor of the new amenities, and it was gradually retaken by the wilderness.

    hmm so people could gravitate towards this super rich town for protection during a certain time leading up to the current day
