I feel pawncraft needs some lore in it.The server has tried lore before ,but it always died with the map resets. Which happened quickly with so many releases in beta. Now that we are on a official release, i think we should try running lore again.
Its already been discussed with other admins that quest will be shaped for certain reasons but i think we should take it further and have quest just for lore and such.I will probably head this endeavor, unless a person better suited to run lore is found( most likely an admin). The lore will be built from many contributions from the server players but it will be strictly filtered , so that the lore is believed and all flows together.

There will be a group to help manage the lore.If you want to be part of the staff please pm me.
Also if you want to add an idea to the lore ill start another thread so that this main lore page doesnt get flooded
with ideas and just holds all the implemented lore.

Lore shall develop as cities grow larger,or new ones appear.
    The World(Pawncraft):
    Races:
    Cities:
    Clans:
Deities: Coming up (which will probably lead to quest because we just gonna give a vague description of gods)
    Quest:
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    Background Of the World
There will be revisions to this but this is the background for all the lore
    rewrite credits to diage

There was once a time when people were peaceful and the Gods need not watch over the world. Things went as they should and life progressed from day to day with people praying to their local priesthood, farming their town’s fields, mining their town’s mines. One day however, for reasons unknown to man, the world went black.
Life could not progress like normal, the earth filled with undead who became more restless than usual and started flooding the cities. The many people turned to their priesthoods but found nothing. The priests had no answer for such an incident and could not explain how to solve it. This destroyed the faith of the people who took to standing behind Gladiators and other men of strength who could provide for them the basic need of safety. This began to tear the world into Kingdoms, each fighting for supreme power. Finally, one man decided he would hold a tournament to see who should rule over the world and defend the people. Unfortunately, no person was chosen from this event. As all the Gladiators and spectators crowded to one city to take part in the tournament, the entire city simply disappeared. No one could explain the disappearance and more importantly, no one knew what to do.
Without hope of salvation from the Gods and with nowhere to hide, people began to crowd around the last symbol of salvation, a large lighthouse. The lighthouse could be seen from miles in this eternal darkness and became a symbol of life and perseverance. As the people began to swarm the isle, they tried to build into the ground directly beneath them. Instead of salvation, what they found was a remarkable wealth of resources. With this wealth and with this man power, the people decided to work together to build a city that would always symbolize the cooperation and perseverance of man, this became known as Aquashi. People within this town had little need to know about the perpetual darkness outside and time passed on without them ever giving a care to it.
The story in heaven however, was quite different. Although no God would admit he had turned the sun away from the people, it broke a long standing truce the Gods had decided on. Long before the production of man, every God took to oath that they would never interfere with the lives of the mortals and would leave to their own life of running the natural world. This act polarized the Gods. They began to fight over who caused this event to happen. Eventually they turned away from each other and each began to wage war with each other. A God cannot wage war with another God however, and they knew this. So the battlefield was set, not within the Galaxy above, but on the plains of the Earth. They were going to fight for the favor from the mortal races. The Sun was returned and so the war began.
This had quick effects within Aquashi, the last remaining town. People began to stand up in recognition of the Gods as the Gods chose their army. It was not long before the city could not contain the constant bickering over the Gods and the people spread throughout the world so they could each worship and give praise to the God of their choice. Now, cities are built to recognize a deity and to stand for everything that deity also stood for.

Okay new system for adding ideas. We have an app form to making it easier to submit your ideas to the lore.Still post it in the lore ideas thread,we will look over it and then message you privately so if its in-game lore no one will know until they do the Challenges (quest) for it.We don't want all the stories to be known or that ll ruin the point of the challenges.
Here is the app just copy it and fill it out,its quite simple. When you finish post it in the Lore Ideas Thread.

    The Missing Netherworld Being:

Entity: A rumored humanoid Netherworld race called Neth that seem to have vanished from the world, leaving behind their structures (Nether Fortresses). It is believed they are intelligent, pitch-white skinned, humanoid creatures with a two pairs of orange eyes, one below the other. They wear grey leather from Ghast and can be 90-100% fire resistant. Tools such as giant golden swords and up to 10 foot long golden spears have been found in their ruins and the blazes are thought to either be their cattle or defenders. Scripts that managed to survive have led some to believe that a small selection of Neth could manipulate fire. And being that they can craft netherbricks and hardened gold tools (as gold is more effective on Ghasts), they are masters of forging. No one knows why they vanished though and some claim to have seen one walking around in the overworld, despite no one else believing them.

Type of God: Not sure what to put here.

Basis for story: Nether fortresses and supposed sightings

Side Notes: Some have worshiped Neth as if they were gods, thinking they could gain some of their benefits. But such practices are outlawed in cities (Espicially Ven) and therefore are forced out into the wilderness.
