    Anyone else use this?

I see that there can be useful things that come from it, but I'm not 100% sure why it's so awesome.

Lemme know what you guys use it for.

Twitter is 100% pointless imo. No idea why it's so popular.

Basically I just use it to follow a few interesting people, like Joe Rogan :), then there's twitter feeds for sports teams if you wanna follow a team and can't watch the game... Generally I don't tweet very much myself. What IS kinda interesting, is if something is happening RIGHT now, it's a neat alternative to get some info - when we had a ton of rain last year, there was flooding downtown and ppl were tweeting to avoid this street or that, ppl posting links to pictures, etc, which was kinda cool. Also seen the same kinda thing when there was a minor earthquake aftershock this past summer...

Ahh, and so how do you find that information when you're not looking for it?

If you're not looking for something, how do you know if you found it?

I agree, though I have seen it's potential as a marketing tool. It's also possible for celebrities to connect with fans in ways that seem a bit self-aggrandizing if taken too far. Honestly, the most fun I've had with it is seeing all the asinine crap that normal people spout about things well beyond their expertise.

I have twitter and use it to get updates on things I wouldn't usually see for a fair while if I wasn't using it. It's kind of like an online newspaper that updates in real time and is more in-depth and personal to the things I want to know about. I don't tweet much myself, don't see much point to be honest, not like there's anyone out there who gives a damn about some of the random garbage I have to say :)
